Divine Nectars

Divine Inspiration

Its was a dark and stormy night... Ok maybe not- but it was New Year- time to assess our lives (and chocolate intake) and so we pondered what the future held for us? What did we love doing? What are our priorities? What did we do best? Mmmmm..... Cooking, sharing food with family and friends and traveling.

In the midst of all of this deliberation, a friend asked when I was going to make the delicious wine sauce again and SUDDENLY, the answer was obvious: create a business around that sauce and share it's delicious taste with others and hope they can create their own memories and special moments.

Inspired, I spent the next few months perfecting the recipe, trying different wines, spices and fruits. I began calling it the nectar, eventually morphing into "Divine Nectars" after several people said it was, ... well, divine! The company was born! Oh the possibilities!

My first introduction of the sauce to the general public took place at the Assistance League of Bend charity tour of homes. Here I served 800 samples of our Ruby Rose nectar.

I launched the company November 18th 09  and will keep you up-to-date on where we will be selling our nectars in the future.

I am comitted to respecting the environment and where possible use ingredients from Oregon. All of the ingredients are natural and many are organic from a local co-op. I also use a local print shop and local professionals for our business needs. I use glass so that it can be recycled. I am investigating environmentally friendly packaging options for our future on-line orders.

I would be delighted to receive any feedback you might have regarding any aspect of the business! Feel free to share your opinions and ideas and recipes with me! thefolks@divinenectars.com
